The morality system returns as a reputation system, where noble heroes, cunning rogues, and everything in between are remembered by the villagers they meet.
StoryThe story begins in the village of Briar Hill, where the player discovers their heroic abilities as a child, before a time jump carries the Hero into adulthood. When a mysterious stranger turns the village's inhabitants to stone, including the Hero's grandmother, the Hero leaves home to discover who is responsible and find a way to reverse the curse. As the first Hero in a generation, you explore a living Albion full of peculiar characters, dark humour, and plenty of chickens, with the cast featuring Hayley Atwell, Richard Ayoade, Matt King, and Natasia Demetriou. In Albion, fairy-tale endings are never guaranteed, and the studio promises a satisfying conclusion to the main story .
GraphicsFable presents Albion as a vibrant, storybook-inspired world with enchanted forests, charming villages, mysterious caves, and the bustling capital of Bowerstone, home to the Heroes' Guild and the grand Bowerminster castle. Rather than a traditional high-fantasy setting, the visual style leans into fairy-tale whimsy, with magical creatures and fantastical locations that capture the charm of the original games while taking advantage of modern hardware. On PC, the game supports high uncapped frame rates, while console versions target smooth performance on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 .
